Music Club

Assembly, carol and the patriotic song

What this club is for

Purpose

To give children a place in the school's musical life — the morning assembly, the Christmas carol, the patriotic song and the annual programme.

What it aims to develop

  1. Singing in tune

Practice singing in tune, and in parts, as part of a group.

  2. Stage confidence

The confidence to perform in front of an audience, from assembly to the annual programme.

  3. A shared repertoire

A common store of prayers, hymns and patriotic songs known by the whole school.

  4. Rhythm and listening

An ear for rhythm and the discipline of listening before joining in.
